The Park encompasses more than 500 acres of woodland, wetlands, serpentine barrens, rare plants and rocky plateaus surrounding Lake Roland. The main entrance to the Park is located at 1000 Lakeside Drive, Baltimore MD 21210. There is also boardwalk access to the Park from the Falls Road light rail station, which provides convenient ample parking.

The Lake Roland Nature Council is a volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the stewardship of Lake Roland for recreation and educational programs. The Council works in cooperation with the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks and other entities to maintain, preserve and protect the natural environment and historic structures in the Park, providing a legacy for future generations.
